New Delhi: Finnish phone maker Nokia on Monday launched its much
expected Android phone 'Nokia X' in India with a price tag of 23,231.83 Nigerian Naira .
Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 earlier in February, the Nokia X Android phone features a 4-inch touchscreen, dual core 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, an internal memory of 4GB expandable to 32GB via microSD card and is a dual SIM handset.
Earlier it was reported that the Android smartphone from the Finnish phone maker would hit India by March 15. However, with enthusiasm created around the smartphone by fans and critics alike, Nokia launched the Nokia X smartphone on an earlier date, March 10 (Monday).
It is also worth noting that the Nokia X phone has been available for pre-booking with electronics retailer The Mobile Store which lists the availability date as March 15.
Other features of the Nokia smartphone include a 3MP rear camera and is powered by Android Jelly Bean operating system.
Along with Nokia X, the once leading phone maker had also unveiled the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona which are higher versions and are expected to hit India in the next two months.
